Quilt Pattern Collage, Champaign county, Ohio

1852 Lippencott Road, West Liberty

Barn Owners: Tom and Noel Tullis
Quilt Square: "Lone Star"
Sponsor: Tullis Farms & Wick Buildings

The farm on which the barn stands has been in the Tullis family for five generations, starting with Tom's great grandfather, David Clem. The original 160 acre farm is still intact wiht an additional 1150 acres plus more rented acres. The farming operation raises corn, soybeans, and seed corn. There is also a beef cow/calf operation that the sons own. The oldest main barn on the home property was built in the late 1800s. Originally the older barn was actually two separate barns which were moved closer together to form one barn. The barn with the quilt pattern was built in 1974 on the site of an old double corn crib.
