9346 State Route 55, St. Paris
Barn Owners: Trent and Angie Zerkle
Quilt Square: "Christmas Star"
Sponsor: Conrad Farms & Bauer Stoves & Fireplaces

The barn was built before 1920 and used as a corn crib. It is constructed of sawn beams and posts. The barn originally sat across the road on the farm until 1961 when it was disassembled and re-pinned back together in its present location. Metal siding was added around 1980. Ollie Conrad made many quilts over the years. She had many favorite patterns, but especially liked star patterns. The "Christmas Star" was the last block she quilted in 1994 and currently hangs in the house at the farm.
