Quilt Pattern Collage, Champaign county, Ohio

10360 State Route 559, North Lewisburg

Barn Owners: John and Alice Westfall
Quilt Square: Log Cabin
Sponsor: Champaign Residential Services, Inc.

The barn was built before the Civil War and was used for hay, straw, and dairy cattle. It is constructed out of wood, and it is currently used for hay storage. The barn floor size was doubled by the addition of an attached shed to accommodate 300 head of feeder cattle. The colors of the quilt pattern selected are M&M colors. The "Log Cabin" pattern was selected because their original home was built in the early 1800s and may have been a log cabin.
